The Matsuriza Taiko drummer group performed their last show at Epcot on March 15th, 2020. The drummer group performed in Japan Pavillion at Epcot for 25 years. The announcement came late Saturday night when one of the members let fans know via social media.
It was a surprise to learn that three of the acts in World Showcase were suddenly coming to an end this weekend. The cancellation of their acts was revealed just before the temporary closure at Walt Disney World.
Their Epcot show is ending indefinitely and Sunday was their final performance. There’s no word yet on if the drummers will be returning to Walt Disney World after the temporary closure ends. Both the UK and Italy Pavilions ended their daily performances on Sunday.
Many fans will miss hearing the drums in the Japan Pavilion. It was a great cultural show that entertained Epcot guests for years. The Matsuriza Taiko drummers showed their appreciation by thanking Epcot for allowing them to perform on the pagoda stage for 25 years.
