The park calendar through mid-April show two Fantasmic! showings each night. Beginning in late April, the number of showings is reduced to one per evening.

While the reduction back to one show each evening is positive in that it reflects reduced park crowds as the Spring Break season ends, it does reduce the number of chances you have to catch Fantasmic!. The two showings also provide a great opportunity to hop on popular attractions, such as Rise of the Resistance and Slinky Dog Dash, with low wait times while most park attendees enjoy the first showing without having to skip Fantasmic! for the evening.

Fantasmic! is a nightly show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios that combines “stunning effects, thrilling stunts, dazzling pyrotechnics and rousing music” during which Mickey dreams he is a powerful sorcerers apprentice that has the power to control water, color, and magic. Mickey’s dreams are infiltrated by Disney villains, including Maleficent who appears as a 40-foot-tall dragon. The show, which just reopened in November 2022 after being closed for 2 years, is a must-do while at Walt Disney World.
