Fans Want Guy Fieri to Play Ursula in “The Little Mermaid”

Fans Want Guy Fieri to Play Ursula in “The Little Mermaid“. The casting for Disney’s live-action The Little Mermaid has been the talk of the internet this week and has taken a hilarious turn.

The only official cast member at the moment is Halle Bailey who will be portraying Ariel and heavily rumored to play Ursula is Melissa McCarthy. While awaiting an official cast list from Disney, the internet has been having a field day speculating and presenting their casting choices online.

From fans wanting Gordon Ramsay to play Chef Louis, others thinking Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson should play the iconic rock from “Part of Your World“, to Terry Cruise announcing his interest in playing King Triton, the fan made casting choices keep getting better.

One such suggestion came from @domcorona_ who saw a resemblance to the villainous Ursula in Food Network Star and Chef, Guy Fieri. Apparently, Guy saw the post and retweeted the original post with lyrics from “Under the Sea.”

Guy’s retweet garnished over 625K likes and 100K tweets from fans who loved the idea. The likelihood of Disney casting Fieri in the role of Ursula is slim to none, but we have to admit the resemblance is uncanny. It’s also great to see Guy Fieri have such a positive attitude toward the casting idea and sharing it with his fans!

What are some of your favorite fan-casting choices you have seen this week? Who do you think should play Prince Eric, King Triton, Flounder, Sebastian, Chef Louis or Ursula? What other actors would you love to see cast? We would love to see your side-by-side suggestions!
