Step into Vault 33 via the Fallout House at Universal Studios Florida

War never changes… but Halloween Horror Nights sure knows how to make it fun. This year, Universal Orlando has transformed one of its haunted houses into a post-apocalyptic nightmare ripped straight from the hit Fallout franchise. Whether you’ve played the legendary video games or binged Amazon Prime’s new show, you’ll feel right at home (or rather, far from it) in this wasteland.

From the moment you step inside, you’re plunged into Vault 33, where Lucy is reeling from her disastrous wedding day. The claustrophobic corridors give way to chaos as alarms blare and familiar faces appear. It’s not long before you escape the vault and head into the wasteland, surrounded by raiders, makeshift settlements, and scenes plucked directly from the show.

The story comes to life as you encounter The Ghoul, who in a chilling moment tries to sell Lucy for parts. Fans of the series will instantly recognize the grit and menace in his presence. Soon after, the Brotherhood of Steel storms in, with Maximus taking the spotlight. His towering T-60 power armor looks every bit as intimidating in person as it does on screen, and it’s one of the house’s standout moments.

While this maze isn’t the scariest of the event, it doesn’t have to be. The real star here is the set design and attention to detail. From the rusting vault doors to the irradiated wasteland outside, the Fallout house is a treat for the eyes. Instead of relying heavily on jump scares, it immerses you in the universe, with Lucy popping up at moments to keep you on your toes.

For fans of the TV series or the games, this house is pure vault-worthy gold. For those just looking for frights, it may feel lighter on scares compared to others at the event, but the atmosphere and accuracy make it a must-do. It’s less about screaming and more about stepping inside a world you’ve only ever seen on a screen.
