Exterior Refurbishment complete for Mickey’s PhilharMagic. Last November Disney’s musical attraction in Fantasyland at Disney’s Magic Kingdom reopened with a new scene added, and a brand new marquee signs out front. The new scene included Pixar’s Coco and Disney’s Donald Duck.
Finally, after many months Disney has completed the outside renovation. The work was done overnight, and most people did not notice the area being repainted and spruced up. Below you can see an older image, from when the new sign was installed, of how the bunting and the spire above Mickey’s Philharmagic looked a little bland.

As you can see by comparing the two pictures the spire is now red and yellow. Intead of pink and blue. The side canopy tops have been painted red and yellow also. Furthermore, Disney crews repainted the bunting, the music notes no longer have a pink background. Gold trims most areas now. Looks great. We love the upkeep Disney is doing in Fantasyland during the 50th Anniversary.
An Animated 3D Experience
Put on your 3D “opera glasses” and take a seat in the Concert Hall in front of the 150-foot-wide, 180-degree seamless wraparound screen.
As the lights dim, we find Donald Duck fast asleep. When he dons Mickey’s Sorcerer’s Hat and decides to try his hand at conducting the concert, he’s suddenly plunged into a 3D dream world of classic Disney animated musical sequences.
Classic Songs
Experience “Be Our Guest” from Beauty and the Beast, “Part of Your World” from The Little Mermaid, “I Just Can’t-Wait To Be King” from The Lion King, and “You Can Fly” from Peter Pan—plus many more—presented for the first time in stunning 3D.
