Expedition Everest Photo Spot Gets a Fresh New Look at Disney’s Animal Kingdom
The popular Expedition Everest photo op near the base of the attraction has been refreshed with brand-new decorative prayer flag-style fabric, giving the scenic spot a brighter and cleaner appearance just in time for all those vacation selfies.

The photo location features colorful hanging fabric strips draped between poles with Expedition Everest and the towering Forbidden Mountain perfectly framed in the background. The newly replaced fabric looks noticeably fluffier and far more vibrant than the weathered version guests may remember from previous visits.
This spot has long been a favorite for Disney PhotoPass photographers, and it’s also occasionally home to special Magic Shots that add extra Disney surprises to your pictures. Between the stunning backdrop and the refreshed details, it’s easily one of the most photogenic corners of Animal Kingdom.
