Progress is coming along for the TRON attraction coming soon to Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom!
Disney recently celebrated a huge construction milestone for the upcoming TRON attraction. The first steel support columns have been installed!
The steel columns that have since been positioned in the lot next to Space Mountain will serve as the framework to support the TRON coaster’s track.
Disney has provided a special sneak peek on the TRON attraction progress Walt Disney Imagineers, Disney cast members, and project teams have made in bringing this Tomorrowland attraction to life. Check out the video below:
The TRON coaster in the Magic Kingdom is based on the TRON Lightcycle Power Run at Shanghai Disneyland. The rollercoaster-esque attraction will allow you to board a train of two-wheeled vehicles for a race through the digital frontier.
The TRON attraction is set to open in time for WDW’s 50th anniversary in 2021.
