The ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex kicks off an “incredible summer” of sports at the Walt Disney World Resort this weekend.
The sports complex is hosting three major events – the Disney Memorial Day Soccer Tournament, the Disney Memorial Day Baseball Classic, and the AAU Memorial Day Basketball Classic. More than 16,000 athletes and coaches from around the country, Puerto Rico, Canada, Argentina and beyond will be participating, making it one of the most active weekends of the year at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
Highlighting the May 25-28 weekend will be the new Memorial Day Summer Kickoff Fan Zone, which features a variety of game-day food and beverage options, high-energy music by a popular DJ, event merchandise, vendor booths presented by brands such as GoGo Squeeze, Apex and Puma and a viewing party on Saturday afternoon for the UEFA Champions League title match between Liverpool and Real Madrid.
Even more top youth sports events await athletes, coaches and fans this summer at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, including the AAU Volleyball Junior National Championships (June 17-28), the Disney International Salute to Baseball tournament (June 30-July 14), the Disney Cup International soccer tournament (July 16-22), the Disney Pre-Season Soccer Kickoff (Aug. 18-19), the Disney Labor Day Baseball Classic (Aug. 31-Sept. 3) and various AAU tournaments in baseball (June 24-30) and basketball (June 1-July 29).

This “Incredible Summer’’ of sports at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex is part of an Incredible Summer of family fun at Walt Disney World Resort, highlighted by the June 30 opening of Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
