Episode 7 of ‘The Mandalorian’ Will Premiere Early With a Sneak Peek of ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’

Episode 7 of ‘The Mandalorian‘ Will Premiere Early With a Sneak Peek of ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker‘. The 7th episode for the mega-popular Disney+ Star Wars series is set to premiere on Wednesday, December 18, earlier than the normal release every Friday.

Disney has yet to share the time of release for the new episode of The Mandalorian on Dec 18th, but did say the earlier premiere will feature a special look at Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, set to release in theaters December 20, 2019.

As all the descriptions of The Mandalorian have been so far, the synopsis for this episode is wrapped in layers of mystery: “An old rival extends an invitation for The Mandalorian to make peace.”

No one is quite sure why Disney and Lucasfilm decided to add this special sneak peek for Disney+ subscribers, it could be that Disney is looking to gain even more subscribers for Disney+. My hope is that there will be an Easter egg in episode 7 of The Mandalorian that will tie into the story of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. With the placement of The Mandalorian within the Star Wars timeline there is always a possibility that cross over characters and stories are likely, and I hope they explore that option in the future.
