TRON Ares Overlay End Date Revealed
According to Cast Members stationed at TRON Lightcycle / Run, the limited-time TRON Ares overlay is expected to wrap up its run this January. While Disney hasn’t set a formal ‘de-resolution’ date, the red lights and Nine Inch Nails soundtrack are likely entering their final weeks before the attraction returns to its classic blue aesthetic.

While a specific ‘de-resolution’ date has not been officially confirmed, Cast Members at the attraction expect the transformation to conclude sometime in January.

The TRON: Ares overlay first debuted in September as a high-octane preview for the film’s October release. The update famously swapped the Grid’s iconic blue glow for a menacing red aesthetic, a change that even extended to the digitized on-ride photos. Beyond the visuals, the experience was heightened by brand-new Master Control narration and a pulse-pounding score by Nine Inch Nails.
