Elizabeth Olsen is reportedly taking a break as Scarlet Witch in the MCU after Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
She’s worked nonstop at Marvel with Avengers, WandaVision, and the Doctor Strange sequel.
If an eventual Scarlet Witch film does happen to enter development, Elizabeth Olsen says she’ll need at least a little break to catch up. “I don’t know, but if they have. good story to tell, I’ll be there,” Olsen said on the Multiverse of Madness press tour.
When asked about whether she’d need a break from the hectic Marvel schedule, the WandaVision actress did add, “Yes, exactly or just a little one. Just some version of a break.”

There’s no denying that Wanda Maximoff has become one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s major players over the last couple of years. Naturally, a lot of fans are delighted by it.
As for Elizabeth’s future in the billion-dollar franchise, the idea of her finally getting her own standalone film doesn’t seem too farfetched to believe especially now that Scarlet Witch is one of the MCU’s hottest commodities. But, taking a break is helpful after seeing how busy she’s been the last few years. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see how it all plays out.
Meanwhile, Elizabeth Olsen is set to make her Marvel return in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, hitting cinemas on May 6, 2022.
