The Disney Conservation Fund is an important part of The Walt Disney Company. Since 1995, this organization has overseen more than $120 million and the training of teams to assist groups that partner with communities to save wildlife and protect the planet. Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park was born out of the same inspiration to create a passion for wildlife and nature. That’s why it’s fitting that for World Environment Day during the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary, an EARidescent Disney Conservation Hero button is being distributed at Animal Kingdom!
This beautiful button features some favorite Disney characters as well as the now-iconic EARidescent color scheme that is being used for the 50th-anniversary celebration. The buttons will be available starting this week, June 6th, at select merchandise and food and beverage locations at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. They will only be distributed while supplies last.
If you are an animal lover or simply curious about Disney’s steps toward conservation, ask a Cast Member to learn more about the Disney Conservation Fund the next time you visit. They can fill you in and help you become a Conservation Hero for wildlife! And don’t forget to check out the new 50th-anniversary gold character statues at Animal Kingdom while you’re there. There are plenty of favorites from films like Lion King and Finding Nemo!
