Dwayne Johnson Makes Rap Debut with New Single. If you thought The Rock’s rapping skills were utilized in Moana’s hit song “You’re Welcome” you may be in for a surprise by the NSFW spit fire new single “Face Off.” Johnson collaborated with singers and songwriters Tech N9ne, Joey Cool, and King Iso under the stage name “Rock” for the new hit.

Dwayne Johnson shared a tease for the new song on his Instagram account along with the caption, ““Black & Samoan in my veins, my cultures’ bangin’ with Strange…” Grateful and humbled to make my rap debut with these hip hop kings ??? as I was just trying to deliver a rhythm, flow, energy & intensity that didn’t suck ? Huge grateful shout to the hip hop community for all the luv ? & music fans for all your HYPE reactions ??????? “A lot of my friends who are hip hop artists — like big names — I’ve been asked a few times. But it just has to feel right,” Johnson shared regarding the timing of the collaboration, “When Tech texted me, I knew I would make this work. We’re aligned, just in terms of our work ethic and desire. When Tech and I first met years ago on the set of ‘Ballers,’ we were talking about this idea about being the hardest worker in the room. He said something that I really appreciated: basically, ‘There could never be enough food in this room or on this set that could make me full because I always want to be hungry.’ I just love that.”
