Instructions for Minnie Garden Designs

Dust off the Terra-cotta flower pot. Paint the pot with a layer of white paint and let it dry completely. You have three possible Minnie flower pot patterns you can make, so look at the choices below and follow the directions.

2.) Minnie Mouse design on light blue pot

Add a second coat of white paint and let it dry completely. Next, we make Minnie’s garden profile. You can use a small paintbrush or a black felt-tip pen to add details. You can seal the flower pot with a layer of decoupage glue. To make Minnie’s hat, cut out a hat shape from red craft foam and then cut out a small flower from yellow foam. Use the hole punch to punch out one white dot and cut a short piece of jewelry wire. Next, you glue the white dot to the inside of the flower, then one end of the wire to the back of the flower. Finally, glue the other end to the back of the hat, then glue the hat and flower onto Minnie’s garden profile.

3.) Polka dot flower pot

Add a second coat of white paint and let it dry completely. Using a pencil, draw a polka dot pattern all over the pot. If you want, you can cut a circle from cardstock to use as a template if you’d like the polka dots to be identical in size. Next, fill in the space around the dots with black paint. Let it dry and then seal it with a layer of decoupage glue. Cut a bow shape from red craft foam. Use the black felt tip marker to create an edge outline and bow details. Hot glue the bow to the top of the pot. Let it dry and you’re done!

4.)  Bow pattern flower pot

Add a second layer of white paint and let it dry completely. Sketch out a pattern of bows around the pot. You can cut a bow shape from cardstock to use as a template if you’d like each bow to be identical in size. Paint the bows different colors, alternating between black, blue, pink, yellow, and red. Feel free to add dots in the design. Let it dry. Draw the bows with the black felt-tip pen, or use a thin paintbrush and black paint to carefully paint the outlines. Fill in the space around the dots with black paint. Let it dry. Finally, seal the design with a layer of decoupage glue.

Which pattern will you use if you make your own Minnie garden? We hope you have fun making it!
