Wilderness Lodge Swaps Life-Size Gingerbread Cabin for a Charming Chocolate Miniature
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge has officially unwrapped its holiday market table for the season, and instead of the life-size gingerbread cabin many guests expected, the resort debuted a much smaller chocolate and gingerbread creation that’s already stealing the spotlight. The change comes after Disney Parks Blog updated its wording, shifting from announcing a gingerbread display to noting the lodge would host a holiday market table in the lobby. When the table opened on November 21, the petite cabin made its debut.

The display fits right into Wilderness Lodge’s rustic holiday atmosphere. The little cabin features a green roof, tall chimneys, and three flags perched on top: Disney, U.S.A., and Florida. Santa Mickey and Mrs. Claus Minnie sit in a sleigh on the roof while warm glowing trees inside the cabin mirror the iconic towering Christmas tree behind it in the lobby. Exterior details include miniature wreaths, faux icicles, and window lighting that makes the whole creation feel alive with holiday warmth.
Around the cabin, even more charming details fill the scene. A bear figure stands at one corner, mushrooms sprout along a sugared log beside a white rabbit, and additional trees flank the structure. One of the standout touches is the Wilderness Lodge’s familiar totem carved into chocolate, featuring Mickey, Goofy, Donald, and Humphrey the Bear. Nearby, a pair of chocolate squirrels perch on another log, adding to the woodland vibe that Wilderness Lodge fans love.
The holiday market table offers a variety of seasonal treats, giving guests plenty of reasons to linger. Cookies include molasses, Linzer, gingersnap, maple pecan, and a gluten-friendly Gingerbread Mickey, along with peppermint bark and a holiday chocolate bar. Savory fans can grab a cheddar gougère, and beverages include hot cocoa and apple cider from Joffrey’s with optional holiday syrups or boozy add-ons. The Gingerbread Martini also returns for those looking for something spirited.

Collectors will want to check out the pin offerings at the stand, including the limited-release generic gingerbread house pin and the Wilderness Lodge snow globe pin. The limited edition gingerbread cabin pin, scented and featuring Humphrey, is also available and capped at 2,000 pieces.
While the lodge hasn’t brought back its life-size gingerbread cabin from 2019, this smaller version still brings plenty of festive charm to the lobby. It’s a cute, detailed addition that blends perfectly with the resort’s Christmas décor and offers a fun stop for anyone resort-hopping or grabbing a warm drink by the fire this season.
