It’s been a long time since guests were able to visit Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park. But we do see Disney is currently working on refurbishing the iconic water park. Some recent aerial photos indicate the water park is showing signs of completion for the refurbishment project. It gives us hope that we might soon see Disney announce a reopening date Typhoon Lagoon!
The wave pool is looking like it’s almost ready for guests to return compared to how it looked a few weeks ago during the refurbishment.

We certainly miss Typhoon Lagoon’s giant surf pool! The surf’s up all day long with a continuous stream of swells in North America’s largest wave pool.
During the summer, Disney worked upon a significant amount of general refurbishment areas. Even more surprising is to finally see the return of pool chairs, which further indicates Disney is prepping the water park for guests to enjoy.
We know we can’t wait to return to Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon!
