Tomorrowland, the movie is finally here. This Friday, May 22nd along with the 24 hour party on both sides of the coast, Disney addicts will be able to enjoy the movie at their favorite theatres.
Starring George Clooney and Britt Robertson, Tomorrowland tells the story of a young girl, who is given a powerful, magical pin. The pin gives her the ability to visit, Tomorrowland, a place somewhere in time that is like no other.
The story starts off with Frank (George Clooney) in front of a camera, telling his story of how as a young inventor, at the World’s Fair, he becomes one of the chosen and learns the secrets to Tomorrowland. Teaming up with teen, Casey (Britt Robertson), who is the most recent one chosen to receive the last pin, Clooney, now an adult, reluctantly agrees to return to Tomorrowland. What happens next will keep viewers on the edge of their seats as one surprise after another pops up and Clooney and Robertson, fight for their lives and try to save themselves and the world from bad guy, David Nix (Hugh Laurie) and his team. Athena (Raffey Cassidy) is a young girl who works for Nix and recruits new talent. But all is not what it appears with Athena as the plot develops and we discover the truth behind Athena’s reason for choosing both, Frank (George Clooney) and now Casey (Britt Robertson) as recipients of the magical pins.
Tomorrowland will take us into the future and the past with twists and turns in every scene, giving us a new perspective on what could happen if Tomorrowland really existed. From flying jetpacks to chase scenes and magical pins, Director Brad Bird, brings us a world that is full of color and incredibly magical landscapes that can only be described as breathtaking. The Tomorrowland in the movie has little resemblance to the Disneyland location, but is what this Entertainment Writer believes, Walt had in mind when he built Tomorrowland at the parks.
