In fall of 2019, Disney is planning to launch their own streaming service. Although there were no announcements about the price, they did say that programming will remain consistent with the Disney brand.
The service will not include any R-rated movies as they will remain on Hulu. Movies from the Marvel series will remain on Netflix for now. There is still no information about how products from 21st Century Fox will fit into the equation.
The goal for Disney’s streaming service is to create four to five original movies and five TV series.
Some of the rumored projects include Don Quixote, Lady and the Tramp, The Paper Magician, Stargirl, and Togo. Top priority development projects include 3 Men and a Baby, Sword and the Stone, and Timmy Failure.
On the TV side, the inaugural streaming site slate includes High School Musical, an animated Monsters Inc series, a Marvel live-action title, and a Star Wars-branded title.
