According to the Walt Disney World website, it seems that Disney’s Saratoga Springs paddock pool waterslide is closed for refurbishment! Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort is a beloved Disney Vacation Club Resort known for its iconic Victorian-style theme taking guests back to the late 1800’s New York. Inspired by horse racing nestled between rolling golf course greens and the famous shimmering Village Lake. This resort contains stately studios as well as multi-bedroom villas with two feature pools including waterslides, whirlpool spas and so much more, especially with Disney Springs only a boat ride away!
Whilst the resort remains closed during COVID-19 resorts phased return, Disney is taking this time to refurbish many of the resorts’ waterslides including the creation of the new Keister Coaster at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort. Walt Disney World posted this advisory on their website:
The Paddock Pool waterslide at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa will close for refurbishment beginning this winter. As part of this work, the bridge connecting The Paddock to other resort areas will also temporarily close. Guests can board the resort shuttle or follow posted signage for alternative routes around the lake while the bridge is under refurbishment. Not to worry, the Paddock Pool will remain open through the majority of this work. Additionally, Guests can enjoy the High Rocks Spring feature pool and waterslide, as well as two leisure pools at the resort.
The Paddock Pool contains the 146- foot-long waterslide flowing from a water tower. However, as it says above the Paddock Pool will remain open during the works as well as the two other smaller waterslides within the pool- perfect for children! The advisory does not give a specific reopening for this refurbishment so stay tuned!
