Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort was supposed to reopen to guests originally on October 4th, 2020.
Today we are learning that Disney will be delaying the reopening till 2021!
The Disney World website does not show the information but many sources online are confirming that Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort will now reopen the summer of 2021 due to a lengthy refurbishment.
Due to upcoming refurbishment work at the Great Ceremonial House, monorail service to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort will be temporarily suspended beginning in early October 2020. The Villas and Bungalows at Disney’s Polynesian Resort will remain open during this refurbishment.
We are guessing the delay in reopening is due to the drop in Florida Tourism. Even places like Universal Studios Resort Hotels are suffering due to the lack of tourism.
