Disney’s ‘Pirates Of The Caribbean 4’ Now with 3D Goodness

Disney's 'Pirates Of The Caribbean 4' Now with 3D Goodness

Disney Studios Chairman Rich Ross has just finalized the decision to shoot Pirates Of The Caribbean 4 in Disney Digital 3D. Its release date stays the same almost one year from today – May 20, 2011.

Not sure why they are taking the series in that direction after the past 3 movies are not..

  1. Sure, I will go see it, but could care less if it's in 3D. I saw the other 3, and bought the DVDs when they came out, because they were good, fun movies with lots of action and intriguing stories, not because they were in 3D.
Seems Disney still doesn't get it. Animation has suffered the same problem over the last decade, they tried killing off traditional hand-drawn animation thinking people only want to see CG based movies. I know they can potentially make more money off 3D, but please, please, please concentrate on the story instead of the media. If it's a good story, like the other 3, people will watch it, even if it's in black and white!
