Disney and Jerry Bruckheimer‘s big-screen adaptation of The Lone Ranger has been given a December 21, 2012, release. Armie Hammer has signed on to play the role of The Lone Ranger and Johnny Depp is cast as his faithful sidekick Tonto.
Production is set to begin later this year.
