On Wednesday I had the pleasure of attending Disney’s Designer Villains & Cinderella Cocktail Party, an invitation only event where I got to see Disney debut the new limited edition collections that will be available for sale for the holidays.
While I sipped Villain inspired cocktails, there were stylists on site treating guests to mini-manicures with Designer Manicure nail polish and photo ops with The Evil Queen and Fairy Godmother.
The new Villians collection had everything from hand-made villain dolls to jewelry, makeup, clothing and accessories all decorated and inspired by our favorite Disney villains. From Ursula colored nail polish to the Villain dolls made with real human hair, Disney has gone all out with this line with a stylized, fashion forward twist on its classic characters. The limited edition dolls will be debuted and released one at a time for six weeks, are $79.50 each and only 13,000 pieces have been made. The dolls themselves are a great value – not only do they have amazing hair, great makeup, rooted eyelashes and hand-made dresses, but they also have a great collectable sense to them. They each come in their own case as part of the price. Disney blew out the whole collection to not only include limited edition dolls but also stationary, mugs, cosmetics, scarves, apparel and accessories – perfect for any Disney fan!
Sometimes you want to be bad. But sometimes you want to be good. In time for Disney’s release of Cinderella on blu-ray in October, they have a wonderful Cinderella inspired array of items that will be on sale for the holiday season. This line is classic with a cool retro feeling but updated with some modern stylization – read: BLING! The limited edition Cinderella doll coming out in October is limited to only 5000. The spray of jewel beads in her hair and her blinged-out bodice and skirt, all of which were hand-applied , are a lovely addition to the Disney line. The shirts and the jewelry that coincide with the Doll are subtle and tasteful and pretty. They even have a beautiful china set that will be available at Macy’s and features Cinderella’s signature color blue.
And now onto the toys! This holiday season is going to be FILLED with amazing toys from all of our kids’ (and our) favorite Disney movies and shows! Doc McStuffins has been a huge success for Disney Jr and they are (smartly) capitalizing on that by selling a whole slew of Doc McStuffins toys including stuffed animals and an interactive doctor’s kit! Disney-loving girls will get a kick out of the princess bedding and even the littlest princess will love to play with the princess castle with its very own Little People princesses! And the pirates in your family won’t miss out either. Jake and the Neverland Pirates are getting their own pirate ship complete with a slide (no plank walking for the kiddos!). Some great Avenger toys coming out will be perfect for dads and sons to play with (or moms like me who love comic book heroes).
All in all this was another fabulous event put on by Disney. It did what it was supposed to do – got me excited about all the amazing things that Disney has coming out for the upcoming holiday season. Happy Shopping!

Can I ask which villains the dolls will be modelled after?
