Orlando locals are puzzled as Disney’s Contemporary Resort is named the ugliest building in Florida
In a recent ranking by Alot Travel, Disney’s Contemporary Resort was controversially labeled as the “ugliest building” in Florida. This ranking is a bit of a headscratcher for Orlando locals, who likely would point to the Eye Sore in I4 as the winner for this category.

The article refers to The Contemporary as “a futuristic Aztec pyramid, which is not something you would normally associate with Mickey Mouse.” The building was, in fact, constructed with a futuristic look and feel in mind, utilizing technology that was advanced for the time (including prefabricated modular rooms).
