Hola ladies and gentleman. It’s me Anonymouse. You know you love me? How could you not love your friendly neighborhood gossip columnist? Right? Chippy, or Chiperoo, whichever you prefer, has been letting me out of the office quite a bit lately. I won’t get used to it, he is quite the slavedriver. Anywho I have some more juicy gossip for you!

We know that Disney’s Club 33 in Disneyland is expanding starting next year. Well a little birdy told me that Disney has registered an interesting domain name. They have registered club33disneyworld.com and club33waltdisneyworld.com. Now Disney is a HUGE company so I am sure they do this kind of thing a lot. So take it with a grain of salt because it could mean nothing, but you never know.

Nothing official has been released just the Mouse House buying up domain names.

Would you love to see a Club 33 at Walt Disney World? Which park do you think it needs to be in? Lets dish in the comment box below.

Any who, that is all the Disney Gossip I have right now. For my past Gossip articles be sure to check them out here.

Anonymouse searches the internet, annoys cast members, and wouldn’t think twice about using a Ouija board to find you the freshest Disney Gossip. Some of what she’ll report is confirmed, some is based on information from the rumor mill, and some, frankly, she just read on the bathroom wall in Fantasyland. So take it with a grain of salt and have fun!

  1. Rumor is Club 33 IS on a long term build out for WDW. As to IF it will happen. Who knows. The WDW planning/visiting cycle is VERY different than Disneyland. People go to WDW on average once every 3+ years, but Disneyland has massive repeat business. With that being said….here is my two cents. The restaurant would go into Magic Kingdom where the old Adventureland Veranda was located. GREAT space….upstairs would be the main restaurant and downstairs would be the lounge/waiting area. This was used as convention space back in the late 90’s through early ’00″s. Not sure what it is used for now or what it looks like. This would be the easiest conversion and require the least capital investment for new construction and chance are the kitchen space is still there..again cost savings. It also offers great views of the castle and Adventureland. As for the other parks….there could be lounges like 1901….IF the membership reached a certain point. For the Studios and Epcot there are LOADS of VIP lounge space that was never used or no longer used. Pick an attraction or pavilion which HAD a sponsor and doesn’t today..and chances are there is a lounge. At the Studios the old Sony VIP location by the sound show or the space above the Great Movie Ride which was never used by Coke…nice space and would make a great lounge. Epcot….American Adventure would be cool, but so would the old United Technology space at the Nemo attraction. For DAK….they could add it to the new construction for Avatar or carve out a space that is being under utilized.

Those are MY two cents. I would love for it to come to WDW as the new level of membership comes with some great perks…like VIP tours!

  2. This is something that for sure I would do – I have always wanted to do this and I have suggested before that it would be a great contest for Disney to do too.

  3. First you have to send a letter of intent to Disney, then they send you the prices… its like ALOT… new car every year sort of pricing… then if you want to be placed on the waiting list, you have to reply to the letter they send you, saying, yes. But I don’t know if they open it up for new members very often… once every few years or so.

  4. Another great place in Epcot would be the second floor of the Imagination pavillion. You would walk through the rainbow tunnel to enter.

  5. I wonder if they would grandfather Disneyland Club 33 members. I am hoping they would open it up to potential new members. I would love to do this! Although I would probably never be able to afford it.

  6. Like most online, I have to be able to afford it first…But I keep thinking with 4 parks, it could go in any of them. I just wonder where in each one. I could easily see it somewhere in Liberty Square at the Magic Kingdom (reminiscent of the original in New Orleans Square at Disneyland.). At EPCOT, there are so many places to eat, but it would be appropriate to have it able to hold more than enough guests, too. So, I could see it over at the Odyssey building. It would definitely give a boost to the Hollywood Studios and I think it would fit in, right on Hollywood Blvd, on the 2nd floor. For Animal Kingdom, it would be cool to have it viewing an area where the animals are, but the animals are in such remote areas of the park. So maybe in the Discovery Island area….it’s an intriguing idea.
