Disney fans lucky enough to have visited Hawaii are well familiar with the Aulani Resort & Spa. Some of you reading this have been fortunate enough to jet ski in Maunalua Bay or from in the infinity pool at Ka Maka Grotto. Maybe you’ve had a Makahiki breakfast with Mickey or enjoyed some complimentary Hawaiian entertainment at the resort. And I definitely hope you’ve tried Aulani’s signature oceanside restaurant ʻAMA ʻAMA! The good news is that the restaurant is finally reopening after a renovation this fall, meaning that if you haven’t had a chance to experience it, you can now in a whole new way!
‘AMA ‘AMA will reopen as a dinner-only dining experience this fall. It will feature a premier dinner-only menu with locally-inspired dishes, cocktails, wine, and desserts. Disney’s signature attention to detail and golden customer service will have guests coming back over and over.
Disney Imagineer Jeanette Lomboy led the effort to enhance the atmosphere at ‘AMA ‘AMA. Details focus on a traditional Hawaiian theme and the restaurant’s namesake: the ‘ama‘ama fish, which is historically the most plentiful and critical fish in Hawaii. New light fixtures mimic Hawaiian fish baskets while a central light fixture replicates the look of fish swimming above the entrance. It’s a luxurious and relaxed ambiance to enhance your vacation every time you visit!
You’ll find ‘AMA ʻAMA by Off the Hook in the Waikolohe Valley pool area, close to the beach entrance. The grand opening is scheduled for this coming fall! Here’s hoping you get a chance to indulge yourself at Disney’s Aulani Resort & Spa soon!
