Disney's Animal Kingdom Party for the Planet Celebration Review

What better place to celebrate Earth Day than at Disney’s Animal Kingdom?  This year, Disney Nature presented the Party for the Planet as a way to connect guests with nature.

Here is our review of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Party for the Planet.

We picked up a Times Guide to take a look at the offerings for Disney’s Animal Kingdom Party for the Planet presented by Disneynature.  The celebration ran from April 21st-April 23rd this year.  One thing we would like to see next year would be to extend the celebration to the entire week.

We noticed that Boiled Books and Petal Pushers were on hand for Specialty Merchandise.  Both vendors work with real plants to create works of art.

The Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail featured Cast Members along the trail to help us learn about certain species of fish and birds as well as many other animals.  Our favorite was the sleeping Hippo.

Near Flights of Wonder, there was the option to meet a Veterinarian, or a Cast Member, and learn about the care and well-being of a variety of birds.

Our favorite Veterinarian, Doc McStuffins, was ready to greet us at Conservation Station in Rafiki’s Planet Watch after we learned about the migration of birds.

Specialty Cupcakes are all the rage during Disney Special Events and Celebrations.  This Earthday Cupcake did not disappoint.  We particularly loved the Party for the Planet White Chocolate banner topper.

PhotoPass options and Magic Shots are a great addition to any Disney Parks Event.  Disney’s Animal Kingdom Party for the Planet Photo Frame option makes a great Facebook profile picture.  We were excited to find Kion the Lion Guard as a Magic Shot at Discovery Island along with the Simba Says game that challenged us to Roar like a lion.

We also really liked the Magic Shot with the Bugs Life Butterflies.

We enjoyed our day at Animal Kingdom celebrating Earth Day with the Party for the Planet presented by Disneynature.  The Cast Members were fantastic and taught us all about how to #ReversetheDecline!  If the Animal Kingdom hosts this celebration again next year, we will definitely be attending.
