We don’t spend a lot of time at Disney’s Animal Kingdom except to see some of the shows and hit a couple of the significant attractions. There are also lots of photo opportunities and we take advantage of those too. On our last visit, for some reason, we got there very early (for us) and had a chance to experience the opening ceremony. We travel to Walt Disney World very regularly and really didn’t realize that there was an official opening ceremony at the Animal Kingdom. It was very cute and actually quite fun.
It opens with Minnie, Goofy, and Pluto arriving in front of the Tree of Life in a safari truck and giving the usual rah! rah! (which we enjoy because it’s part of the show) for a few minutes.
After they finish, as if by Magic, Mickey appears in the distance right next to the Tree Of Life and lets us all know what’s about to happen and what’s going on at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
After Mickey has finished with his bit of Disney cheerleading, our original friends, Minnie, Goofy, and Pluto tell us to “Let The Adventure Begin” and off we go into the park.
You know what, it beats the heck out of just unlocking the doors and letting the crowds thunder into the wilds of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. I’m all for fun in most forms and this is cute, fun, and a great way to start your day. As always, enjoy your visit to Walt Disney World!!
