Disney’s Animal Kingdom Debuts 2 New Lackluster Cupcakes
Disney’s Animal Kingdom has two new cupcakes: Simba from ‘The Lion King’ and a zebra. Zuri’s Sweets Shop, just across from Harambe Market and next to Ziwani Traders, is the place to find these delicious cupcakes. The shop is open from park open to close and serves a wide selection of baked goods and sweets.

Simba Lemon Blueberry Cupcake
Lemon-flavored Cupcake with Blueberry Filling topped with Orange and Yellow Buttercream Frosting and a Chocolatey Simba piece – $6.29
The cupcake itself had a pleasant lemon flavor but was very dry. It was sadly not redeemed by the small amount of blueberry filling inside.
The chocolate Simba on top was a cute touch, but tasted more like a fondant piece than chocolate.
Zebra Cupcake
Vanilla and Chocolate Striped Cupcake topped with Green Buttercream Frosting and a White Chocolatey Zebra piece – $6.29
Despite its cute appearance, the cupcake’s cake was disappointingly dry and lacked flavor. The striped interior was a pleasant surprise, but the excessive sweetness of the frosting overshadowed everything else.
We wouldn’t go out of our way to get either of these cupcakes. Have you tried them?
