New Disneyland “Star Wars Land” Rumors

More Disneyland “Star Wars Land” Rumors are out this week. As always, we are on top of the latest rumor and are here to share it with you. As you may know Disneyland opened in 1955 which means that 2015 is Disneyland’s 60th Anniversary.

With such a major event like a 60th Anniversary Year, Disneyland Imagineers are busy planning new parades and fireworks shows to be included in the big event. On top of that they are going to have to figure out how to manage two gigantic construction projects, Monstropolis, which is likely to be in an abandoned corner of the park, which makes it easy to hide behind walls. However, Star Wars Land will more likely take over most of Tomorrowland.

Obviously the look of Tomorrowland will change and become home to more Star Wars appearance, moving most of the popular rides entrances and queues, such as Space Mountain. Additionally, it’s likely that the terrible location of the Astro Orbiter will be moved, and land somewhere near the Space Mountain area, perhaps even on the upper level near the planned Starcade.

Star Wars Land can’t possible exist without a few iconic Star Wars places, like a Landing Pad, and perhaps a famous cantina? The best thought is that Disneyland will remove the tired Tomorrowland Terrace dining area and create the very cool and very needed Tattooine Cantina. I hear this will be a rowdy and have an interactive concept.

What would a Star Wars Land be without a landing pad and spaceship? We can have just any old spaceship though, I imagine we will be seeing the Millennium Falcon, and will hopefully be a walk through attraction, perhaps even having a place for visitors to meet and interact with their favorite Chewbacca.

You may also get to visit Endor via the Speeder Bike ride that may take over Innoventions and most of Autopia. As you zoom by on your speeder, you’ll see an Ewok Village that you can walk through, after you get off your bike please, that will include dining and more shops.

As you know this is all speculation based on the latest rumors and information available to all of us. We’ll keep you posted on any new Disneyland developments.

  1. Monstropolis is going in at dca. muppets vision and stage 17 are going away for the door coster witch will be right next to mike and sully to the rescue and they are re-theaming part of hollywood land

  2. I think it would be cool. I’ve only been to Disneyland once, so I’m not too familiar with everything, but I don’t really like the sound of replacing Tomorrowland. If something has been there for a long time, I don’t think it should be replaced. I’m sure it holds a lot of memories for a lot of people.
Maybe part of it could be replaced, or to make everyone happy, just find a whole new section to put it in…

  3. No! They got cars land, Hollywood studios in Florida akread has much of the surrounding scenary and needs more attractions. Make it in Florida. Disney keeos raising the ticket prices because they can when all the parjs are running at ir near capacity. If they want to continue this they have to jeep impriving as well.

  4. No NO NO!!!! Not everyone that loves Disney is a Star Wars fan. I would really hate for Tomorrowland to become Star Wars Land. It can have it’s own section in the park….

  5. NO! I don’t want to lose Autopia. My son, niece, and nephew love it. And from what you described, we would lose it. Really, I think Star Wars Land needs to be a totally separate park, or put in HS in WDW or even DCA.
Has Monstropolis been confirmed? Where? In the abandoned areas you see on the Disneyland Railroad?

  6. NO!! Sounds Great… But Move Original Rindes To Other Places No! 🙁 Tomorrowland Is Tomorrowland… If They Want Some Star Wars Things They Need To Put In Other Place But No Modify The Original!…
