Hollywood agent Richard Kraft has been collecting Disneyland memorabilia for over two decades. “For 25 years I collected with absolutely no intention of seeing it as an investment or acquiring things to sell. I did it purely for the joy of connecting so many personal memories of the Happiest Place on Earth,” Kraft explained.
“When I finally decided to let it go it became much more about throwing a grand Bon Voyage party to those magical artifacts than about making projections about their worth. As the flood of astronomical bids came in, it made me think how these treasures were now securing the financial future of my children and allowing me to contribute towards other kids, like my daughter with special needs.”
‘That’s From Disneyland’, a pop-up exhibit in Sherman Oaks, California featuring 900 of Richard Kraft’s items ended after a two day auction at Van Eaton Galleries. It broke records by raising over $8.3 million.

- An original Skyway vehicle – $621,000 (highest price ever paid for a Disneyland ride vehicle)
- A Dumbo attraction vehicle – $483,000
- An original Haunted Mansion stretching portrait – $402,500
- A Haunted Mansion Doom Buggy attraction vehicle – $220,400
- Jose animatronic bird from The Tiki Room – $425,500
- A Swiss Family Treehouse organ prop – $63,250
- A Peter Pan attraction vehicle – $253,000
- The Pirates of the Caribbean entryway sign – $264,500 (highest price ever paid for a Disneyland sign)
World famous magician David Copperfield joined auction guests. He walked away with the Disneyland Hotel Neon Letter “D” for just $86,250. The letter had personal meaning for him as his family would stay at the Disneyland Hotel frequently and this location inspired him to become a magician.
Richard Kraft set aside a portion of the proceeds for the Coffin-Siris Syndrome Foundation and the CHIME Institute.
