When will we see fireworks again at Magic Kingdom? That’s a question many Disney Parks fans are asking since the Orlando theme parks reopened two months ago. After all, we already know about nighttime shows returning to other Disney Park locations.
Shanghai Disneyland is currently showing fireworks again at their theme park, plus Tokyo is resuming their nighttime shows later this month. However, it seems like Disney is running tests at Magic Kingdom to prepare for the return of nighttime castle projections. Seeing the projections on Cinderella Castle during “Happily Ever After” is a highlight for many Disney World guests. Preparing the projections would be a first step in Disney getting ready for nighttime shows to return.
Even a Reddit user made inquires about the return of nighttime shows:
“About a week ago, my husband and I were dining at California Grill and had a great view of MK. It was dark and after park hours and we saw something like a show projection on the castle. We couldn’t make out what it was. We also saw white flashing lights across Main Street. Does anyone know what this might have been?”
Others have made similar comments saying how they caught glimpses of flashing lights at Magic Kingdom after hours. We don’t know when fireworks or other nighttime spectaculars will return to Disney World. We will provide updates when more information becomes available for nighttime spectaculars at Walt Disney World Resort!
