Disney World Survey Tests $400 Annual Pass Discount and Pre-Arrival Lightning Lane Pricing
Disney may be testing the financial waters again, and this time the numbers are turning a few heads. A new guest survey sent to travelers with upcoming Walt Disney World vacations is floating the idea of a massive $400 discount on Annual Passes, along with discounted Lightning Lane Multi Pass pricing for guests willing to buy early. While surveys never guarantee changes are coming, this one offers a pretty clear peek at what Disney might be exploring behind the scenes at Walt Disney World.

According to the survey, Disney tested whether guests would purchase an Annual Pass after their May 2026 visit if offered a $400 discount. That would drop the Disney Sorcerer Pass from $1,099 to about $699 plus tax, while the Disney Incredi-Pass would fall from $1,629 to roughly $1,229 plus tax. That is one of the steepest Annual Pass discounts Disney has tested in recent memory, and it feels very targeted at converting once a year vacationers into repeat visitors.

The survey also dug into Lightning Lane Multi Pass pricing, specifically when purchased during the advance booking window. Guests were asked how likely they would be to buy Lightning Lane Multi Pass seven days before check-in at various price points, including $30, $27, $25, and even $15 per person per day. Right now, the price of Lightning Lane Multi Pass does not change based on when you buy it, even though Disney resort guests can purchase seven days out and off-site guests can buy three days out. These survey questions suggest Disney may be testing an early bird discount model, rewarding guests who lock in their Lightning Lane plans ahead of time.

Currently, Lightning Lane Multi Pass pricing varies by park and date, ranging from $15 to $45 per person per day, so some of the surveyed prices would represent meaningful discounts during busier periods. Disney has not announced any official changes tied to this survey, but the combination of a major Annual Pass discount and advance purchase Lightning Lane savings points to Disney looking for ways to drive commitment earlier in the planning process and keep repeat guests coming back through the gates.
