I make two to-do lists for my trip: One big one that I start months before (stop laughing) and a shorter one that I use in the last few days before we travel. One thing I noticed though, was that I sometimes forgot to finish the last few things on the list, only to remember when I was about halfway down I-95 on my way to Disney World.
So a few years ago, I started a new tradition: I tape the list to the back of the front door, that way I’m bound to look at it as I leave the house. In fact, I look at it several times as I’m going in and out packing the car. I can’t tell you how much this has helped. I keep a little highlighter nearby so I can cross off tasks I’ve completed.
It’s one of those little things that can make your trip a little easier and ensure that you’re not out at midnight looking for a charger for your phone. What about you, do you have a to-do list and if so, how to you make sure you don’t forget to complete all your tasks?

Maybe I should try that
That is a very good idea
I do about the same as you……..a long term list that really revolves around shopping (suntan lotion, batteries, toiletries, prescription refills etc). Because I tend to go in the winter months I can pack my suitcase early with summer clothes and bathing suits.I then make note of what needs to be plopped in at the end (underwear, socks etc). My note will then consist of, again, the last minute things that have to go in as well as making sure I have the camera and phone chargers. I put the hotel info, magical express and airline tickets in separate boldly marked business envelopes into the zippered side pouch of my carry on. The carry on always holds the prescription medicines, camera and tickets because those are things I cannot allow myself to forget. I spend the day before and the day of the trip crossing things off the list and highlight only when I’ve gotten to the very last few things that I don’t want to miss seeing. And that’s that! Once everything is loaded into the trunk of the car I take one more look to see that the carry on is there and that it has those necessities I’ve mentioned above. AND WE’RE OFF!
