Disney World Plans on Investing $17 Billion In Florida Economy and Creating 13,000 Jobs
Today in the annual meeting for shareholders of The Walt Disney Company when Bob Iger was discussing the Company’s right to freedom of speech Bob Iger mentioned how Disney World Plans on Investing in the State of Florida over the next 10 years.

He said that the Walt Disney Company plans on investing $17 Billion in Florida’s Economy and creating at least 13,000 jobs in 10 years. He went on to say that these new jobs will create thousands of indirect jobs thanks to Walt Disney World.
Disney has brought in 50 Million visitors to the state of Florida this year alone.
All of this stems from Florida Governor Ron DeSantis Ordering an Investigation Into Reedy Creek Improvement District Agreement with Disney the day before House Bill 9-B was enacted.
No mention of the recent round of layoffs was brought up at the annual meeting of shareholders.
