Unlike the Magic Kingdom, there aren’t actual climb around play areas for kids in EPCOT. Don’t fret though, because EPCOT does offer several different non-attraction areas to entertain the young ones. During the warmer months, which are the majority of months in Central Florida, the fountains, shown above, a wonderful area for kids of all ages to run through and cool off. The fountains shoot water at different heights and it can become a game to try to catch the water, or even try to avoid getting soaked.
EPCOT is also filled with indoor areas for young ones to explore and burn off steam. In Future World, the Pavilions all have educational activities, but also play area, for kids of all ages to explore and learn. In the Imagination! Pavilion, there are areas to conduct different instruments, over at Innovations, there are play houses, a fire truck, robots to control, and ever-changing exhibits to entertain both mentally and physically.
In the World Showcase, Kidcot stations are located in every pavilion, offering *free* arts and crafts, decorating masks with the supplies provided in each Pavilion. For more free entertainment, check out the Kim Possible World Showcase Adventure. A family scavenger hunt throughout the world showcase, the Kim Possible adventure gives teams a “Kimmunicator” (cell phone) to get clues helping you on your mission, with a secret final for those that complete the mission.
