There are plans to build 2 new Marriott hotels west of Disney World. According to the documents filed, there will be around a 10 acre site including SpringHill Suites and a Towneplace Suites. It is said to be in the plans for the Flamingo Crossings on the corner of State Road 49 and Western Way.
These are “value” type hotels, meaning they will be reasonably priced. Their website says that SpringHill Suites is classified as an” upper moderate hotel, with suites only, at a great value.” Towneplace ‘provides simple, quality accomodations” and it is for the no frills, budget conscious, extended stay visitor.
In 2007, Disney showed some drawings of what Flamingo Crossings would eventually be, but then the economy crashed and the rest is history.
Glad to see they are finally doing something with this land. Not to mention these new hotels will provide over 150 new jobs for the Central Florida area.
Wishing you Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust
