Disney World encourages guests to get vaccinated

Florida recently eliminated all COVID-19 restrictions, leaving businesses to decide what measures to implement. Walt Disney World has not made any major changes to its health and safety policies but will be phasing out temperature screenings. The company is also encouraging guests to get vaccinated.

The Walt Disney World website has a section with pertinent information on how the park experiences have changed in pandemic times. That section, Know Before You Go, has been updated to include vaccination encouragement. The messaging under the “Welcoming You Back to Walt Disney World Resort” reads:

“As you prepare to visit, please know that we’ve made updates based on guidance from health authorities, such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and appropriate government agencies.

It may be different from the last time you visited. But together, we can find new ways to create magical moments—and memories to treasure.

We are aware of the state of Florida’s plans to modify COVID-19 guidelines. We will evaluate this latest guidance and maintain our current health and safety measures at this time, including face covering requirements. We will continue to make thoughtful adjustments to our policy. As COVID-19 vaccines become available, we encourage people to get vaccinated.”

Disney has not made any changes in regards to guests who are fully vaccinated versus those who aren’t. Disney is working hard to make sure that guests feel safe while visiting Walt Disney World.

  1. We hope that Disney allows this to be a personal decision and doesn’t say you can’t come if you don’t get vaccinated. If that were to happen This life long Disney lover would be forced to boycott Disney until their policy changed. That’s not Freedom! It’s tyranny! And we won’t be a part of it.
