Disney World Eliminating Self Service Lids and Straws
Disney World is beginning to remove self-service lids and straws at its quick service and snack locations throughout the resort. Starting today, paper straws and plastic lids will only be available on request.

Disney previously got rid of all single-use plastic straws and stirrers and replaced them with paper straws. Now, paper straws and plastic lids will no longer be available in guest areas for self-service. Guests will need to request a lid and/or straw if they wish to use them.
Disney is working to achieve zero waste to landfill by 2030 for its parks, resorts, and cruise line.
If you’ve used paper straws at Disney World before, then you know how gross they can get. If you really want to use a straw with your drinks, we recommend bringing your own reusable ones from home.
