Disney World Confirms Free Water Park Perk Returns in 2027… But Not for Everyone

Walt Disney World has officially confirmed that its splash-worthy free water park perk will be back for summer 2027, but this time there is a twist that might leave some campers out in the sun. Guests staying at Disney Resorts Collection hotels will once again receive complimentary water park admission on their check-in day, continuing a popular benefit that has made summer stays even cooler. However, beginning in 2027, guests staying at the Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort will no longer be eligible for the perk.

This marks a notable shift, as campsite guests are still included in the 2026 offering. The current version of the benefit runs from May 26 through September 8, 2026, meaning there is still time for campers to take advantage of the free water park access this summer. Meanwhile, guests staying in Disney’s Value, Moderate, Deluxe, and Deluxe Villa Resorts will continue to qualify in 2027, along with those booking a stay at The Cabins at Fort Wilderness, which remain eligible under the updated policy.

While Disney has not officially explained the change, many fans have speculated it may be aimed at closing a popular loophole where guests could book a low-cost campsite and include multiple people to score free water park admission. Others believe it could help manage crowd levels and transportation flow at Fort Wilderness, which has long been known for its sprawling layout and internal bus system.

Looking ahead, Disney has not yet announced the exact dates for the 2027 water park perk, but if history repeats itself, expect a similar late May through early September window.
