Disney World has just updated its Face Mask Policy for outdoor rides, attractions, and queues for guests visiting the theme parks.

Starting tomorrow August 19th guests will not be required to wear face masks on outdoor rides & attractions and waiting in lines outdoors.

However, as soon guests go inside they will be required to put their face mask back on. This is how it was while I was at Disneyland this past weekend so I am glad to see Disney World adopting this policy.

Here is the official word from Disney:

Since May, face coverings have been optional for Guests in outdoor common areas, and beginning Thursday, August 19, face coverings will also be optional for Guests in outdoor attractions, outdoor queues and outdoor theaters at Walt Disney World Resort.
