If you donate blood on any weekend in January, you can get a free ticket to Disney in return.

Florida Blood Services is participating in Walt Disney World’s “Give a Day – Get a Disney Day” promotion. Starting this weekend, people who donate blood, platelets, or plasma at select FBS Donor Centers can get a voucher for a free ticket to any Disney theme park in Orlando.

Donors must sign up ahead of time by visiting the Disney website. There they can search for a Florida Blood Services center near their home and sign up for a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday in January. After signing up, donors need to call that FBS center and make an appointment for the same day on which they registered on the website. After the appointment, the voucher will be sent through email.

If you’re not eligible to give blood, you can still participate in the promotion by volunteering your time instead.

Generally, healthy people over the age of 16 who weight at least 110 pounds can donate blood. For more eligibility information, you can call 1-800-68-BLOOD.
