Some hotels may no longer be eligible for Early Theme Park Entry after the end of 2023
If you have not yet heard the good news: Walt Disney World vacation packages for 2024 are officially available for booking. The Disney Dining Plan is also returning for 2024, providing guests with the same resort hotel, ticket, and dining plan options that were available to them prior to the COVID-related shutdowns. As Disney has been updating the Walt Disney World website to reflect these changes, one additional change will impact guests staying at some resort hotels: 6 hotels are currently listed as no longer being eligible for Early Theme Park Entry beginning in 2024.

Early Theme Park Entry is a benefit that replaced Extra Magic Hours and provides guests of eligible resorts with entry to the parks before the rest of the general public. In 2023, the perk was offered to Walt Disney World Resort hotel guests as well as guests staying at eligible neighboring hotels. The website notes that beginning in 2024, these 6 hotels will no longer be eligible for early park entry:
- B Resort & Spa Lake Buena Vista
- Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista
- Wyndham Lake Buena Vista
- Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek
- Waldorf Astoria Orlando
- Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando Lake Buena Vista
The website does also note we need to “check back later for further details regarding 2024.” These resorts may again become eligible for Early Theme Park Entry prior to the calendar turning to January 1, 2024, however, guests looking to book a 2024 Walt Disney World vacation should note that these hotels may not be eligible for this perk next year.
