Disney Cast members are hard at work to prepare Disney’s Blizzard Beach for its reopening on March 7th, 2021. Tickets are now available and the water park will reopen with a face mask policy. First opened to the public on April 1, 1995, this spring will kick off Blizzard Beach’s 25th season.
Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park will reopen in a responsible way, with a plan focused on health and well-being. When the water park reopens, it will operate in alignment with the health and safety protocols set by Disney World. For example, a list of safety precautions such as reduced capacity, temperature screenings, physical distancing markings and face coverings.
Face coverings will be required in designated areas for each Guest age 2 and up. This policy applies to all guests at Blizzard Beach water park including the retail areas, plus food and beverage ordering areas. Face coverings will not be permitted while experiencing water slides or in the water. You may also remove your face covering while actively eating or drinking, but you must be stationary and maintain appropriate physical distancing.
The policy is similar to what guests experienced at Universal’s Volcano Bay when that water park opened last summer. In the meantime, we can’t wait for Blizzard Beach to reopen!
