Disney To Update Genie+ for Lightning Lane Selections

A change is coming to Disney Genie+ soon to improve usability. Disney will be updating Genie+ for Lightning Lane selections. Guests will be able to modify their Lightning Lane selection without canceling and rebooking.

Currently, guests can make Lightning Lane selections but if they want to change or modify the selections they have to cancel and rebook. With the update, guests will be able to search for other available Lightning Lane attractions or arrival times and swap them. This will make changing Lightning Lane selections easier and require fewer steps.

Disney Genie+ is an add-on service at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort. The service allows guests to make Lightning Lane reservations for select rides among other things.

The changes should go into effect within the next few weeks for both Disney World’s My Disney Experience App and Disneyland’s Disneyland App.
