Disney to furlough Cruise Line, Disney Store, and Film Studio Cast Members starting on April 19th

It was just announced that Disney will be furloughing some Theme Park Cast Members, you can read the full details here.

On the heels of those round of layoffs it has been shared that Disney Cruise Line, Disney Store and Film Studios Cast Members will also be furloughed starting on April 19th. Those furloughed Cast Members will be eligible for unemployment compensation, including the new higher levels offered by the federal government’s $2 trillion stimulus bill.

Earlier this week Bob Chapek and other Disney executives took pay cuts while Bob Iger will forgo his salary in the wake of the pandemic.
