Camp Pendleton Families Receive Disneyland Tickets at Special ‘Toy Story 5’ Screening
Disney has a long and proud history of honoring our nation’s service members, but their latest event brought a new level of magic to Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base! On Monday, nearly 500 military children and their families gathered right on base for a very special, exclusive screening of Disney and Pixar’s smash-hit Toy Story 5.

What started as an exciting movie day quickly transformed into a lifetime memory when Josh D’Amaro, Chief Executive of Disney Experiences, made a surprise appearance. In a true moment of classic Disney magic, D’Amaro announced that every single family in attendance was being gifted tickets to the Disneyland Resort—sending the room into absolute cheers!
The day was packed with extra surprises from start to finish. Beloved characters Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and Mickey Mouse made special appearances to greet the families, and attendees were treated to fun giveaways and exclusive video messages from the star-studded talent behind the film. The entire activation was centered on celebration, deep appreciation, and creating a joyful space for military community connection.
This incredible event was made possible through Disney’s nearly 15-year partnership with Blue Star Families. It marks a major milestone in the broader, company-wide “Disney Celebrates America” initiative, which is rolling out nationwide in honor of the United States’ upcoming 250th anniversary. As part of these historic celebrations, Disney has made a massive $2.5 million commitment to Blue Star Families to directly support the well-being of military families coast-to-coast.
