Disney STEP Classic will return to Disney’s Hollywood Studios Sept. 3-5, 2010. Produced in cooperation with the National Step Show Alliance (NSSA), the event features teams competing in Ages 19-and-under and Ages 18-and-up divisions. Performances will be in the 900-seat Premiere Theatre in the Backlot area of the Walt Disney World theme park.
Created in 2008, the step-dance program provides performing groups with a world-class experience that includes performance opportunities, workshops and clinics. A big change this year will be the addition of compulsory moves, marking the first time these dance steps will be part of a competition.
Winning teams will be showcased during pregame activities for the MEAC/SWAC college football game taking place at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando. The winning team will also be recognized during the game’s half-time show.
