Preparations are underway at Walt Disney World as Disney braces for Hurricane Ian. While at Disney Springs this morning we have seen Cast Members preparing for the strong winds and rains that are expected to start later tonight into tomorrow.

Throughout Disney Springs umbrellas have been taken down and stowed away.
Some of the local restaurants have already begun stacking tables and chairs.
While others are bringing their tables in chairs inside so they don’t blow away.
Many of the lighter chairs that would easily blow away in the wind are being stored in a safe location.
Even the Aerophile Balloon in Disney Springs is being tied down and the basket underneath has been removed.

Here is a look at more photos from around Disney Springs as they prepare for Hurricane Ian.
As you can see Disney Springs is pretty well empty with Cast Members and Orange County Sheriffs at each Entrance/Exit.
As of right now, Disney Springs remains open and is currently operating under normal conditions. We expect an announcement will be made soon.
So far the only closers we have seen are Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, Copper Creek Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa and the Bungalows at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort will temporarily close Wednesday, Sept. 28 through Friday, Sept. 30 due to the weather.
Earlier this morning the Star Wars Starcruiser announced its closure through September 30th as well.
