Explore Disney Springs with a New Interactive Map
Disney Springs has significantly enhanced its guest navigation experience with the introduction of newly interactive digital directory screens. Beyond simply replacing static signage, these updated displays now feature advanced, dynamic maps, allowing visitors to explore the sprawling entertainment district with unprecedented ease.

Recognizing the deterioration of its directory displays, Disney Springs replaced several units in January. These initial digital replacements, while an improvement over the old, functioned primarily as standard directories—offering a static map and location index. However, Disney Springs has now evolved this system, introducing a fully interactive experience that significantly expands upon the original functionality.
Located strategically near the Disney Resort bus stop (in front of Sephora) and at the Lime Garage entrance, two of the new interactive directories are now operational. Similar to their predecessors, these screens display advertisements when idle, but transform into interactive maps upon touch, offering guests enhanced navigation capabilities.

The redesigned directories feature a split-screen layout: a map on the top half and a search/category section on the bottom. The top banner provides real-time information like date, time, and temperature. The bottom section offers a search bar and six category buttons (shopping, dining, etc.) for quick navigation. An accessibility option is also included. The map displays the user’s location with a prominent black dot and offers a reset button. A full-screen option expands the map, removing the bottom search panel.
Selecting a category (like “Shop”) on the directory screen populates the bottom half with a comprehensive list of relevant locations. These lists, arranged alphabetically and scrollable via side arrows, display each venue’s name and estimated walking time from the directory’s location. Tapping a venue reveals detailed information, including its logo, walking time, and a brief description. This functionality applies consistently across all categories, such as “Dine” and “Play”.
